Daphne Burgess-Bowens

Fund Development Consultant

I am a Special Projects Coordinator, Artist/Art Consultant, and Gallery Curator with a BA degree in studios and a minor in art history from the University of California, Davis.

I have been teaching art at the SOJO Museum for the past twenty years, and I have experience in project management, administrative and budget oversight, monitoring attendance and project outcomes, evaluation, installation, art education, outreach, program development, volunteer coordination, monthly reporting, reconciling budget funds, special event planning, referrals, and community outreach.

As an Artist/Art Consultant/Teaching Artist, I have taught theatre arts programs at Fairy Tale Town and community art programs for Sacramento Public Libraries. As the project manager for Block by Block at the Crocker Art Museum, I have worked to increase access to art in diverse communities and led several grant-funded programs through the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. My work has been exhibited in various galleries, and I have worked as a scenic artist for different theatre and production companies.
