Renee West, our capable Administrative Assistant, brings a wealth of experience in Human Service Programs to the Sojourner Truth Art Museum. Her role is pivotal in supporting the Executive Director, as she coordinates and schedules meetings and museum tours conducts outreach to recruit Museum Volunteers and screens incoming calls and emails. She is also responsible for membership enrollment, coordinating museum events, program activities, and projects, and liaising between the museum and other nonprofits, businesses, and City leaders. Her dedication is evident in her regular attendance at weekly staff meetings and her provision of monthly statistical reports to the Agency Director.
Leadership/Training/Job Development: Recruitment and training of Volunteers to assist with monthly food distribution programs at Senior apartment complexes and home deliveries for the Senior Wellness Program. Collaboration with City leaders, businesses, and other service organizations. Review and analysis of individuals' education and employment skills to prepare Case plans. Membership Officer – in charge of the museum’s membership programs, aimed at individuals and companies who pay a yearly fee to enjoy special benefits from their museum support.
